On June 12, 2017, Prof. Jamie Ward from School of Psychology,University of Sussex visited the faculty of psychology of Southwest University,and made two scholar reports titled ‘Enhanced perceptual functioning insynaesthesia and its links to autism’ and ‘Feeling the Pain of Others’ .
Prof. Ward and Prof. Qiu have indepth communication, and then cometo an agreement. Creative&Affective Neuroscience Lab in Faculty ofPsychology, Southwest University, China and the Team of Synaesthesia Researchin School of Psychology, University of Sussex, UK establish a long-termcooperative relationships.
Jamie Ward is Professor of Cognitive Neuroscience at the Universityof Sussex. He has degrees from theUniversities of Cambridge and Birmingham, and was formerly a Lecturer andSenior Lecturer at UCL. He is a leadingexpert on the topic of synaesthesia, and related issues including cross-modalplasticity after sensory loss. He is also a well-known textbook author in thefields of Cognitive Neuroscience and Social Neuroscience.
