On June 6, 2017, Professor Hu Xiaoqing from the State Key Laboratoryof Brain and Cognitive Sciences, Department of Psychology ,The University ofHong Kong visited the faculty of psychology of Southwest University, and made ascholar report titled ‘Undoing the Unwanted’ at Prof.Jiang Qiu’s invitation.
Dr. HU Xiaoqing is currently an Assistant Professor in theDepartment of Psychology, and a Principal Investigator in the State KeyLaboratory of Brain and Cognitive Sciences, The University of Hong Kong. Heobtained his Ph.D. in Brain, Behavior and Cognition (2014) from Departmentof Psychology, Northwestern University, and he was a Post-doc ResearchFellow at the Department of Psychology, University of Texas at Austin(2014-2016). His research focuses on the self-regulation of impulses, memoriesand social biases. He has published over 20 peer-review research papersin Science, Psychological Science, Current Directions in PsychologicalScience, Journal of Experimental Psychology: General, etc. And he is areviewer for Swiss National Science Foundation, FWO, and for over 20 journalsincluding Psychological Bulletin, JEP General, Cognition, NeuroImage,Sleep Medicine Reviews, etc.
Professor Hu and Professor Qiu have indepth communication and thenreach an agreement on several issues. In the near future, the two sides willcarry out substantive cooperation.
