On last Friday, November 27, 2015, Professor WAN Xiaohong from the Brain and Cognitive Science Research Institute, Beijing Normal University, visited the faculty of psychology of Southwest University, and made a scholar report titled ‘Neural Processes of Human Problem Solving in Experts’ at Pro. Qiu Jiang’s invitation.
Pro. Wan obtained his two Bachelor’s Degrees of Physics and Electronics Engineering in USTC in 1999, and obtained his Ph.D in Tohoku University, Japan in 2006, and became Research Scientist and Staff Scientist of RIKEN, successively. In 2014, Pro. Wan became one of the Recruitment Program of Global Experts in China. His focal research orientations include the neural mechanisms of problem solving processes, especially about the experts. He published a lot of research papers in magazines like Science, nature neuroscience, Cerebral Cortex and so on.
