The opening ceremony of the 2nd translational research on pain of CAPS held in SWU
On October 30, 2015, the two day-long “Translational Research on Pain – from animals to human beings; from basic to clinic research” held by Subcommittee of Translational Research on Pain together with the Faculty of Psychology, SWU, was inaugurated in Room 415. Membership of the CAS and TWAS, Yang Xiongli, neurobiologist and physiologist, as well as the founder of the Brain Science Research Institute of Fudan University, made his speech “chasms among the cognitions on brain research” as the beginning of the seminar. Professor Yang explained in his speech that in syntactic levels there were differences between the cells and the nerves, and that in imaging levels there were differences between neural activation and higher cognition functions, which was analyzed in his speech by using the metaphor of “Little Green Man” phenomenon to show the illogical mistakes. In this seminar Professor Yang and many other experts in and out of China shared research ideas and made academic exchanges with our faculty’s researchers.
