On last Wednesday, March16, 2016, Professor Anthony Wagner from the Memory Laboratory, Department of Psychology ,Stanford University visited the faculty of psychology of Southwest University,and made a scholar report titled ‘Cognitive Neuroscience of Remembering’ atPro.Jiang Qiu ’s invitation.
Pro. Wagner obtainedhis Bachelor’s Degrees of Psychology in University of California in 1992, and obtained his Ph.D in Stanford University, USA in 1997. In 1997 he went to General Hospital Nuclear - MagneticResonance Center Massachusetts and furtheredhis Postdoctoral research. At present Pro. Wagner is professor of Psychology and Neuroscience, StanfordUniversity. His focal research aims to understand how memory is organized and supportedby the mind and brain,a particular emphasis is placed on understanding theinteraction between cognitive control and long-term memory, as well as ondelineating the nature of "crosstalk" between different forms ofmemory.He published a lot of research papers inmagazines like Science, Trends in cognitive sciences, Neuron,Brainand so on.
Professor Wagner and Professor Qiu have indepth communication, and then come to an agreement. Team of Emotion and Cognition in Faculty of Psychology, SouthwestUniversity, China and the MemoryLab in Department of Psychology, University of Stanford, the United States establish a long-term cooperative relationships.
